The blades of these skates function as a lever to clamp heel and forefoot simultaneously by stepping on the platform. The correct positions of the clamping mechanisms can be set in advance at home.

These skates have a double functioning thumbscrew mechanism under the platforms. By turning the screw first the heel is fastened lengthwise and then the forefoot is fastened athwart.
