The virtual ice Skates museum is the result of a hobby that has derailed quite a bit. It started all when I bought a pair of ice skates with elegant curls more than 30 years ago, just for decoration. From then on the ice skates tended to come in one after the other and sometimes even with lots at once. To-day the collection comprises some hundreds of ice skates and related objects. Also much documentation was gathered to fulfil the need for background information.
As it would be a nuisance to leave all this material and knowledge in crates, on bookshelves and in my head I developed this virtual museum after I retired. Even after a quick tour you will be amazed about what has been created in the course of the ages to please the ice skater.
